ECSSC back on top after win at Berrans
With their closest rivals otherwise engaged in Cup action, East Christchurch SSC's fine 4-1 win at Milford Rec against Berrans Park Avenue took Dave Astbury's men, for now, back to the top of the Hayward Premier Division table.
Scores from Wayne Etherton (2), Stuart Ellis and Mark Taylor, all before half-time, helped the reigning champions to regain top spot. Those directly behind have games in hand but ECSSC will enjoy being top-of-the-pile for as long as possible.
